Анотація:

The tutorial consists of two parts. The first part depicts the following main issues of modern English lexicology: word formation, morphological and semantic structure of the English word, etymological basics of the English lexicon, stylistic and phraseological aspects of modern English lexical system, variants and dialects of the English language, a short history of lexicography.
The second part includes the exercises for practicing.
The tutorial is for the students of foreign language departments of higher educational establishments.
